Keen to begin your triathlon journey? Looking to maintain fitness? Have an event coming up and looking for new training options? Keen to push yourself against some others on a regular basis?

Well look no further because Townsville Tri Club offer two free, coached sessions a week that cater to all levels and abilities.

 

Friday Swim – Run Sessions

5.30am – Strand Rockpool (meet at the wall on the Strand – Howitt St intersection)

Session runs for approximately 1 hour and incorporates the Strand, Jezzine Barracks, Rockpool and stinger nets. Bring runners, goggles, towel and a few bucks for a coffee afterwards. Training courses and sessions vary weekly.

 

Sunday Tri Squad Session

6.30am – Strand Rockpool (meet out the front of the Fish Inn Rockpool)

Session runs for about 1 ½ hours, typically completing a triathlon or series of mini tris, with courses catering for the rookie to the experienced.  Bring everything you would take to your next tri – goggles, bike, helmet, shoes, sunnies and a towel. Get tips on setting up transition, open water sighting, mounting/dismounting and all other things tri!

 

On top of these club sessions, club members regularly post details of personal midweek sessions on the Townsville Tri Club facebook page and discuss plans for the upcoming week at coffee after the Friday or Sunday sessions.

There are also a variety of other coaching sessions nearby that are TTC members are welcome to join (email admin@townsvilletriclub.com.au for more details).

We are also looking to re-instate the junior training program and any offers of help/support would be welcomed.
